VOLUNTEER – Ushers: Main Room – Onething 2017

Our Usher Team is comprised of a team of Watchmen. The term “Watchmen” is borrowed from Isaiah 62:6-7, a hallmark passage here at IHOPKC, which speaks of those who stand as praying watchmen/leaders in the Kingdom of God for His people, especially the nation of Israel:

“O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.” -Isaiah 6-7 (NLT)

Watchmen welcome, oversee, and shepherd people from many nations of the earth within the main auditorium as a dynamic team who engages with the heart of God in prayer and leadership. A Watchman’s job is to be attentive to the people they are leading by engaging in greeting, hosting, overseeing, facilitating offering moments, praying and encouraging people, partnering and ministering with our Prayer Team during ministry times, and handling behind the scene tasks that help make the conference run smoothly. Regardless of how long you have been with IHOPKC, becoming an Watchman is a powerful way to start serving, make good friends, and take your walk with God to the next level! Your labor with us helps transform lives by encountering the beauty of the Man, Jesus!

This team will receive IHOPKC’s basic training on prayer, prophecy, pastoral leadership, and conference leadership. It is our desire that all would grow in prayer, prophecy, and other spiritual gifts. Our greatest desire and aim for you is that you would grow in love for Jesus and love for His people; and after that, we desire to see you feeling empowered to minister, equipped to make a difference, and with hearts vibrantly invested in building the Kingdom. Simply put, we want you to practically walk in the power of the First and Second Commandment love that fuels your heart boldly to engage in the Great Commission with the heart and joy of a Friend of the Bridegroom (John 3:29)!

Step 1: Get involved! We are looking for team players who are pastoral, flexible, approachable, and willing to do whatever it takes to help oversee the auditorium and God’s people when they attend one of our conferences.

Step 2: Sign-up! Sign-up for all shifts you are available for. We would like to ask you to, if at all possible, to sign up for a minimum of 3 of the 11 sessions. This is not a mandatory request, but simply a request.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years or older, unless approved by our Head Usher. Please send an email to headusher@ihopkc.org for approval if you are 17 years of age or under.
